Sea Point promenade opposite the Winchester Mansion and the fields at the Glen Country Club / Bungalow Restaurant are the two preferred paragliding landing fields.
Tandem paragliding flights vary in length as they are very dependent on weather conditions. Paragliding flight duration varies from about 7 to 15 minutes.
Please be advised that due to general road closures we recommend making use of Uber as your preferred transportation service to reach the Paragliding take-off site. Parking on Signal Hill and Lions Head is extremely restricted and limited.
If required, we will be able to return you to your vehicle on the mountain after the flight free of charge.
Hi 5 Paragliding Cape Town Instructors pride themselves on the quality and duration of the paragliding flights, so they will paraglide with you for as long as possible because they love to fly!

Hi5 Tandem Paragliding Instructors are all equipped with High Definition action cameras to capture you during your instructional flight .
The camera is set up on a customised telescopic boom which captures very effective visuals of both you and the instructor while training.
This is an optional extra to your flight. A very nice way to relive this awesome experience and show family and friends.

Amazing service. I had 3 different timeslots booked with them to tailor the launch to the best conditions and location. Due to trip related reasons my availability shifted and on an unplanned schedule the wind and conditions gave us a shot to launch from lions head. The Hi5 team was not operating at that time and they still hooked us up with a way to get some pilots to fly us spontaneously. And it worked! So we ended up flying with others and all enabled by Hi5. So yeah… super generous from them and helping us out even when it didn't benefit them directly. 10/10, incredible people. Fly with them, I 100% would.

We were so glad we booked with High5!The communication from the moment I called from Australia to the time we arrived at Signal Hill was seemless (thanks Naomi).We had 3 first timers and our pilots (is that the word?) were very experienced and friendly. Where do I start? From the moment I contacted Hi5 on WhatsApp to the safe landing at base, this whole experience was incredible. From Leandra and Denzel and the amazing communication I received to meeting Grant and John for our flights, every single member of staff were brilliant. I was a first time flier, a little apprehensive and Grant took me under his wing, literally. He was calm, talked me through everything, checked in on me regularly and made me feel so at ease! I couldn’t have hoped for a better first paragliding flight - and hope it wasn’t my last. Me and my husband will never forget this, South Africa and Hi5 have given us memories we’ll never forget! It was the utmost professionalism of the Hi5 team that gave us confidence that as soon as the wind was right, we’d be up gliding. Para-waiting before the para-gliding was the adventure sport we didn’t know we were in for. But Morgan stayed in touch with us throughout on WhatsApp to schedule available slots on different dates and the glide indeed happened. Our pilots Jon and Grant made us comfortable as we glided to great views of the city and the water beyond. Thanks to the team. 5 stars to all. Highly recommended.

Wow… what an exhilarating and unforgettable experience! Flying up high overlooking the views of Cape Town, table mountain and the coast were so so amazing. Though we got re-scheduled few times as the winds weren’t good but the communication was always efficient. I felt so lucky that I finally got to do it as it was my last day in Cape Town. Could not speak more highly of this company. My partner and I flew with Grant and Ruard and they could not have made us feel more at ease. They were both very firm in the fact that they only fly if they both feel 100% comfortable with the wind conditions, even if other companies were going out. This was my main concern when booking to do this so hearing them say that within the first few minutes already put them above other companies we’d heard of. I especially was a nervous mess before flying but Ruard took it in his stride and knew exactly what to say and I ended up having one of the best experiences of my life thanks to him. It made it even better that it was clear how stoked he was to be up there as well. We were lucky enough to fly off lions head and that’s a sight I’ll never forget. It’s clear that this goes far beyond a job and is really a passion project for the pilots which made the experience all the more special.

I saw them land one morning on the grass at Sea Point and added a tandem paragliding to my bucket list. Tick ✅ done. Wow, what an experience. It was a gift for my 57th birthday. I was not disappointed. The pilot greeted me (super friendly) and we went through the safety and how to go about the take off etc. I felt perfectly safe and raring to go. At no time was I afraid. I would quite happily do another paraglide. An experience of a lifetime. Live life - go do it!

This was our first experience paragliding and we are SO GLAD that we chose this company! I was super impressed with how simple the booking process was and how quickly you are up in the air once you arrive. I highly recommend Hi5 Tandem Paragliging as my experience paragliding with Hi5 from Lions Head in Cape Town was amazing! The take off and landing were flawless and Rue communicated what to expect for each part of our flight. We also stayed airborne for about 15 minutes which gave me time to really enjoy the views. Lastly, when the flight was over, Rue quickly transferred photos from the GoPro to my phone and showed me how to access them. All in all... a great experience.

We had the perfect day for our paragliding experience. Our pilots were super knowledgeable, professional and just fantastic people! We got the 11am slot which is meant to be one of the best times to fly and it definitely seemed to be the case! Once we landed, the guys sorted a lift for us back to the top of Signal Hill where there was a van serving drinks and ice-creams. The videos and photos are incredible quality. The pilots took some great shots and we got to aim the camera ourselves too. Overall, it was an unbelieve experience that we will never forget! (be warned, the toilets at the top of the hill are waterless so try go beforehand if you are squeamish)The whole team at Hi5 Paragliding looked after us every step of the way and gave us a tailored, personal experience and I can’t recommend them enough!

Absolutely mind blowing experience. I just want to do it again and again. The professionalism of everybody involved was incredible. The pilots are so experienced and make you feel at ease immediately. Incredible takeoff and easy landing. And the flight of a lifetime. Well done guys. We WILL be back 🪂🪂🪂

This is an easy 5 star review. My pilot Heinrich was amazing. He eeked out 15min of flight when the expected flight time was just 7 minutes. Yes, we were lucky with the thermals, but he also took great pride in finding the lift and even took the "detour" over our house so I could wave my wife and son from above.

Wow Wow & Wow! I was recommended to the Hi five Paragliding team by a friend and I can understand why. Definitely a highlight of my trip! ! The experience was incredible and a must do in Cape Town. Flying down a mountain past rocks, we managed to even spot an eagle, over the buildings and onto the sea. A site to behold forever! I am scared of heights, however Grant and his team where super gentle, relaxed and very very professional. I cannot impress on that more. If you're going to Paraglide then Hi Five is the team to do it with ! The staff where incredibly friendly and clear in all communication. Video footage seamlessly transferred onto your phone in a flash with incredible hi res clarity! Also have a free ride back up the mountain. Just Do it!

Both pilots (Henrick and Britt) were awesome and made our honeymoon vacation that much better by giving us a paragliding flight that was totally worth it. Kudos to the admin for Hi-5 that worked extremely hard to ensure we were properly informed for our flight time since it had to be moved due to wind conditions. Hi-5 is totally awesome and would recommend to anyone coming to Capetown.

My husband and I had the most amazing experience with Hi5 paragliding! We loved who we were paired with - Brett and Marcus! They were so experienced and friendly and made sure we had the best flight! Hi5 accommodated us on such short notice as well and made the whole process so easy. 10:10 recommend!!

This was a birthday gift for our friend and I decided to be brave and tag or fly along. The communication with the team before, during and after our flights was amazing. All were so friendly and helpful. HI5 is a very professional company and I can highly recommend them. Getting the paper work done on the day was easy, and once the pilot arrived it didn't even take 5 minutes and I was up in the air. What an amazing experience. I was a bit nervous before but as soon as my feet were off the ground I loved every second of it. Landing was super easy and Brett made sure we missed the sprinklers on the lawn. Thanks for that;-) Everyone should give it a go. You will not regret it! Thanks to the team of HI5:-)

My experience with Hi5 was amazing from start to end. The communication was clear and thorough. It was my first time paragliding and I felt supported throughout the entire process. I was nervous and afraid but the support of the teams reassured me and made me feel safe. The pilot was incredible- guiding me through the entire process which really helped to build trust. It was an amazing experience/ only scary at the beginning but a total smooth ride. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my 1st ever tandem flight with Ruan on 30 October 2010. I appreciated his passion for flying, his confidence, reassurance and I was well briefed every step of the way. I knew what to expect and was put at ease all the way. That allowed me to fully enjoy the whole experience. I had a blast!

Absolutely breath taking experience! From the start right till the very quick finish you are made to feel comfortable and calm. Pilots are beyond friendly and very easily break the ice with first time flyers making your paragliding experience an interactive and exhilarating one. I would recommend this activity time and time again because it simply is never enough. Once you start, you're hooked! I know I am! Biggest thanks to Heinrick and Leandra from the Hi5 team! You cannot go wrong with either of them.

Great experience from beginning to end. Good communication, very friendly staff, fantastic flight experience, and great footage. My only comment is to consider having a more exciting flight path than the straight line over Seapoint towards the promenade, and potentially allowing for a slightly longer flight time. Other than that, would 101% recommend this to anyone in CT

This was a fabulous experience! My boyfriend and I did a jump for my 30th birthday. Not only was the flight absolutely stunning, and we lucked out with pristine conditions, but the pilots were very professional and the communication from our assistant before the jump was also excellent. Overall it was a very professional and positive experience. I’d highly recommend Hi5 for a paragliding experience anytime!

This was a great experience. The pilots are skilled and friendly and very professional. I felt completely safe the entire time. They even provided a mint for my friend's motion sickness.This is a great way to see Cape Town. I highly recommend it.

Hi 5 tandem paragliding is a must when traveling to Cape Town. Massive credits to Leandra for organizing everything and keeping the lines of communication open all the time. I enjoyed every minute of it. They are very safety conscience which I liked. Everything is double checked. They are are friendly from the office staff right down to the "pilot ". If you are up to it they even do some tricks . They really go out of their way to make it a good experience. Will recommend them to any and everyone.

It felt very safe and relaxing. Taking off is quite gentle, as the wind just lifts you up. It was extremely enjoyable and I would recommend it. If you have the heart for it, ask the pilot to do swoops and tricks near to the end of the flight while descending.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND EXPERIENCE. The whole process is super professional. The tandem pilots are the absolute best. Always double checking everything. An amazing experience soaring above the city skyline. The control room kept in contact with us throughout the day as the weather can be unpredictable. The pilots are highly experienced, having flying hours throughout the world. Safety is the highest priority for them. All the staff we came in contact with were extremely professional and friendly.

What a phenomenal experience! Flying with Hi5 was an incredibly swift and seamless process.
